  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    The Faculty of Spatial Planning in Dortmund is the largest university department for spatial planning in Europe. The variety and thematic range offers academic training in spatial planning from a legal, economic, sociological, and ecological perspective. Our team combines the Chair of Urban and Regional Sociology and the Chair of International Planning Studies. In the last three years, we have been working with real-world labs on the topic intercultural spaces of participation using online and hybrid tools. As urban researchers, we are interested in the digital transformation of citizen participation. Our expertise includes migration research, (digital) participation, storytelling, , urban transformation and (qualitative) empirical social research.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We are interested in international collaboration on projects focusing on citizen participation and social transformation through digitalisation in an urban context. We are looking for a collaboration that combines our skills in empirical social research and knowledge of urban theories with skills and knowledge in developing digital tools.
