  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

I specialise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), and construction waste management especially recycled aggregate concrete, and off-site manufacturing for construction. I have my patented innovation in reusing construction wastes as sustainable materials. I also have award-winning research papers focusing on construction and demolition waste management, and have been working on bridging digital transformation (e.g., digital twin) for circularity in the built environment.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

The circular economy drives the traditional linear business model to circularity, aiming to generate the new business model from recycle, reuse, remanufacturing or other levels of circularity crossing sectors. It also drives downcycling to upcycling of materials, components, and products. These challenges or research ought to be solved, such as: 1) What is the mechanism of different stakeholders in the circular network? (e.g., product designer, manufacturing, consumer)? 2) how to integrate these issues between technological movements (e.g., Industry 4.0) and social/cultural/policy/legislation development? Other questions to be answered could include: what are the proper mechanism for data usage, information sharing to inform decision making in circular economy? How to properly set the incentive scheme for drive circular practices? What needs to be included in the digital-driven circularity eco-system? Other questions related to digital circular economy in different sectors are all welcome, either in the end-product aspect or from the circular process perspective, such as AI-based waste sorting, robotics, and the socio-technical approach to investigate the user perceptions and behaviours.
