  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

I am a doctoral candidate currently conducting a research project on what I term "the new technopolitics of mediated humanitarianism" in which I investigate how social media algorithms, Virtual Reality headsets and apps, respectively, are changing the nature of humanitarian communication and discuss the wider ethico-political implications of this. Empirically, I am interested in issues broadly related to world politics and everyday world politics, humanitarianism, war and transnational political movements in particular. Theoretically, I draw on extensive knowledge on poststructuralism, critical theory, STS and postphenomenology. Methodologically, I have experience with a number of digital-qualitative methods such as interviews (primarily with practitioners in the humanitarian-digital field) and interface analysis.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

I am broadly interested in projects on issues related to world politics, power and technology - particularly in relation to how new technologies and technical systems participate in the constitution, governance and control of political subjects, at the intersection of the intimate contexts of the mediatised everyday and the macro-level of world politics.
