    Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana is one of the oldest criminological institutes in Europe with researchers with backgrounds in law, philosophy, linguistics and sociology. Aside from conventional criminological issues, such as, for example, victimology and penology, our focus is on a variety of issues linked to deviance, such as big data, crime and technology, social control, computational linguistics, media and criminology, psychoanalysis, sociology of culture, political culture, economic analysis of criminal law, structural violence, crimmigration, gender issues, social harm, future of work, sustainability and so forth.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We would be interested in participating in a wide array of projects linked to our expertise listed above. We are currently working on two projects related to digitalisation: Automated Justice: Social, ethical and legal implications (2018-2021) and Human Rights and Regulation of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (2019-2021) and likewise have experience working in a large international consortium of partners.
