    I am a psychologist and doctoral student. As a founding and board member of the association Spenderkinder, I have had over 10 years of experience with gamete "donation" and the consequences for the resulting human beings. I have seen how DNA databases are increasingly helping to clarify kinship connections, for which those involved are inadequately prepared.

    In the last 10 years, DNA databases are experiencing exponential growth. Digitizing our DNA in DNA databases is a major contributor to uncovering family relationships that no one was supposed to know about. What experiences do diverse stakeholders in different EU countries have with this, what can we learn from this for practice, for counseling, medicine, legislation, ....?
