Dr Ewelina Kubicz-Staszkiewicz

Graduate of first- and second-degree studies in biophysics, specialising in medical physics, at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where she completed her master’s degree in biophysics. Pursued doctoral studies in order to continue her research on new methods of cancer diagnostics. Awarded PhD in Physical Sciences in 2020 having defended her PhD dissertation on “Biomedical applications of Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy: nanostructural characterization of normal and cancer cells and tissues”. Post-doc at the Faculty of Physics, Jagiellonian University, principal investigator in the PRELUDIUM grant awarded by the National Science Centre, and co-investigator in other research projects funded by the National Centre for Research and Development and Foundation for Polish Science. Co-authored many scientific publications, as well as presentations at national and international conferences.
 
Since January 2024, coordinator for Physical Sciences and Engineering.
