In May 2012 the NCN joined Science Europe – an international association of research funding agencies and research institutions from all across Europe – to represent the collective interest of Polish scientists continent-wide. SE aims to strengthen the European Research Area through fostering cooperation among the member institutions. One of the priorities of the SE is to represent scientific communities as well as increase their influence on policies, priorities and research-related strategies. Science Europe will also pave the way for promoting collaboration with non-European institutions supporting research, search for solutions to ensure publicly funded research has the maximum impact and contribute to the development of science by providing solutions that benefit all of society.
