On 31st August the NCN saw the visit of the Singaporean Ambassador to Poland, Mr Kwee Liong Keng. During his first stay in Krakow the Ambassador met the NCN Director, Professor Andrzej Jajszczyk. Conversation topics ranged from the general operations of the National Science Centre, to international collaboration projects specifically undertaken by the Centre. Furthermore, the Ambassador presented the system of research funding in Singapore and the activities of the Singaporean agency funding research in science and technology – A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research).
