EOSC – a key initiative for European Open Science policy and its implementation in research
Biography:
She is a chemist by training with a doctorate from the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany. As a postdoctoral researcher, she worked in biophysical research at the Free University of Berlin before joining the German Research Foundation (DFG) in 2008. At the DFG, she has worked in a variety of areas: as Programme Director for Physical Chemistry, then as Head of DFG's Latin America Liaison Office in São Paulo, Brazil, and finally as Programme Director in the area of Open Science and Information Infrastructures. At the European Commission her responsibilities include the developments of the European Open Science Cloud, the EOSC partnership, policy development and implementation of the FAIR/OS principles and international cooperation in Open Science.
