Tomasz Zaleśkiewicz is full professor of psychology at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Wrocław, Poland), where he heads the Center for Research in Economic Behavior. He is also member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Committee of Psychology) and President of the Division of Economic Psychology in International Association of Applied Psychology. His major research interest is in decision making under risk and in economic psychology. Recently, he has edited (together with J. Traczyk) the book “Psychological Perspectives of Financial Decision Making” (New York: Springer). He is author or co-author of numerous papers published in such journals as Psychological Science, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Experimental Psychology, Applied Psychology, Journal of Economic Psychology, and others. The results of his research were discussed by prestigious international media: The Wall Street Journal, Time, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Harvard Business Review (USA edition), BBC Radio 4.
