BEETHOVEN CLASSIC 4 is a follow-up to BEETHOVEN 3 that involves merit-based evaluation of funding proposals for Polish-German research projects performed jointly by the Expert Teams selected by NCN and DFG and external reviewers. The call is open to funding proposals in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences corresponding to the following disciplines according to the classification applicable to both agencies:

101-113. Proposals in the subject 317-02 are accepted if they have a clear Humanities and Social Sciences focus.

Polish-German research projects in Life Sciences, Physical sciences and Engineering:
The OPUS 20 call for proposals for Polish-German research projects in Life Sciences, Physical sciences and Engineering will be launched by the National Science Centre acting as the Lead Agency which means that NCN will perform a merit-based evaluation of proposals for Polish-German research projects submitted under OPUS 20 alongside other proposals submitted to the call.
Proposals may be submitted in the following disciplines according to the classification applicable to both agencies :
DFG review boards 201-207, 307-318, 321-327, 401-410
(BEETHOVEN CLASSIC 4 is open to proposals in the subjects 317-02 with a clear Humanities and Social Sciences focus ).
NCN Review Panels: ST1 – ST10 and NZ1-NZ9.

Funding decision: 11 months of the proposal submission date, depending on the date the evaluation is approved by the partner agencies.
