We are pleased to inform that dr hab. Wojciech Sowa, NCN coordinator in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, has been elected HERA Network Chair. HERA (Humanities in the European Research Area) is a partnership between 24 Humanities Research Councils across Europe and the European Commission, with the objective of firmly establishing the humanities in the European Research Area and in the European Commission Framework Programmes. The NCN joined the HERA consortium in 2011.The Chair plays a facilitating and representational role in relation to the activities of the HERA Network Board. She or he leads on HERA strategy, facilitates agreement on positions, policies and strategies for HERA, and represents these on behalf of the Network to the research community, stakeholders, policy-makers and the wider public.
