Researchers applying for ERC grants can benefit from the mentoring support under the ERC Mentoring Initiative which aims to aid applicants in countries with less success in ERC grants.
The initiative coordinated by the National Contact Point at the National Centre for Research and Development has attracted key research-funding agencies: the National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and Foundation for Polish Science.
Mentors, who are the former members of the ERC evaluation panels and ERC grant winners, will support the applicants in their submissions, provide guidance (including project analysis and evaluation), recommend improvements to their proposals and future measures. Their support will be agreed on an individual basis.
The initiative is addressed at eligible applicants of ERC grants (Starting Grants, Consolidator Grants or Advanced Grants) who are submitting their proposals to one of the future calls and are successful applicants of projects funded by Polish agencies. At the NCN, the initiative is open to researchers pursuing their projects in domestic or international calls (PIs for a research project or Polish part of a project).
Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis. More information, regulations and proposal form are available on the website of the National Contact Point at the National Centre for Research and Development under ERC Mentoring Initiative.
