Dr Justyna Ciejka-Śnieć

Justyna is a graduate of Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has been a scholarship recipient and principal investigator of the project under the VENTURES Programme launched by the Foundation for Polish Science and was awarded funding under the TRANSFORMATION.DOC Programme launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. In 2015, she received a PhD degree in chemical sciences in the field of chemistry (PhD dissertation title “Polymeric inhibitors and adsorbents of viruses causing respiratory tract infection”).
Having completed her doctoral studies, she worked at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She pursued her interdisciplinary research due to research grants related to biomedical, in particular antiviral, application of polymers. She was a principal investigator in a SONATA project funded by the National Science Centre. She has cooperated with Polish and foreign research centres. Since 2019, she worked at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as a research and teaching assistant professor.
She has co-authored several scientific publications in international journals, numerous speeches at international conferences and several patents. She has been a supervisor and member of the European Chemistry Thematic Network.
Since July 2022, she has been employed by the National Science Centre as a coordinator for Physical Sciences and Engineering.
