Dr Kinga Fic

Graduate of bachelor studies in animal behaviour at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Veterinary technician. Pursued the International Doctoral Program in cognitive neuroscience "CogNeS" at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences of the Jagiellonian University owing to the 2019 Diamond Grant, despite having no master's degree.

Pursued her doctoral project at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology, the Institut für Humangenetik in Würzburg and at the Institute of Zoology and Biomedical Research of the Jagiellonian University. In December 2023, completed her doctoral studies in exact and natural sciences having defended her PhD dissertation entitled "Risk assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders in progenies obtained at advanced paternal age (APA)".

Since 2015, involved with research institutions where she has cooperated with many Polish and foreign researchers. As a result, published several research papers and delivered presentations at international conferences, including in Canada, Switzerland and Ireland.

Between 2018 and 2024, worked as a co-investigator in several NCN research grants and supported research teams in the preparation and implementation of their research projects, including MAESTRO, OPUS, OPUS-LAP, SONATA, SONATA BIS, SONATINA and PRELUDIUM.

Animal lover. Keen on travel, world cuisine and board games.

Since November 2024, employed at the National Science Centre as a Coordinator for Life Sciences.
