Dr Anna Wieczorek

Anna Wieczorek, PhD in technical sciences (2017), completed a doctoral programme in material engineering offered by the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Jagiellonian University. She is a graduate of first- and second-cycle studies in chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University, specialising in polymers and composites. She has developed her interest in polymer scintillators and their applications while working for the Marian Smoluchowski Institute of Physics of the Jagiellonian University, as well as during research visits, e.g. to the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) near Geneva. Since 2018, she has worked at the National Science Centre as a coordinator for Physical Sciences and Engineering.
