Dr inż. Michał Olejnik

Graduate of Applied Mathematics at the at the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics at the Gdańsk University of Technology. Before he completed his studies, he was employed at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Science where he joined the Multiphase Flows Department. In his research work he has focused on meshless Smoothed-Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method and its application in fluid mechanics. With the support of Polish and foreign grants, he has developed SPH models for dispersed flows and flows with interfacial surface. He had his research output published in JCR journals. He also presented his research results at various international conferences. In 2019, he received his PhD in the field of engineering and technical studies (Modelling of interfacial flows with the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method).

In April 2021, he was employed by the Krakow office of MDPI where he joined the editorial team of “Fluids”. A year later, he was employed at the National Science Centre where he has worked as a coordinator for Physical Sciences and Engineering.

His hobbies include literature and computer games (such as Metroidvania).
